Exhibition Title: Majesty of the Great Han: The Glorious Civilization of the Han Golden Age

Exhibition Period: July 16, 2025 – October 15, 2025

Exhibition Venue: Luoyang Museum of the Han-Wei Ancient City Site

Exhibition Overview:
This exhibition brings together nearly one hundred exquisite artifacts (sets) from cultural and museum institutions across Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Gansu, and other regions. Featured highlights include iconic objects such as the "Han Unifies All Under Heaven" roof tile end, the "Four Divine Creatures" jade door pull, bronze vessels from the Yangxin household, the gilded bronze horse, and the gold-threaded jade burial suit. The collection spans a diverse range of categories, including bronzes, jades, lacquerware, coins, glassware, gold objects, and ceramics.

Through six thematic sections, the exhibition systematically deconstructs the inner logic of Han civilization. It explores the political wisdom of centralized governance and the economic vitality of a flourishing society; the military ambition of territorial expansion and the civilizational dialogue along the Silk Road; the burial concept of "serving the dead as one serves the living," and the formation of the "Han" identity as a unifying ethnic name.

Comprehensively interpreting how the Han Dynasty laid the foundation for China's feudal political structure that endured for over two millennia, how it established early trade networks between East and West through the Silk Road, and how the name "Han" became a lasting cultural legacy and source of national identity, this exhibition vividly illuminates the enduring spirit and foundational achievements of one of China's most formative eras.
